About project

The aim of the NATURE LABORATORY project is to enhance social awareness in the matter of biodiversity and its relevance for balanced development. Children, youth, ngo members and volunteers are invited to take part in natural lessons and workshops, to see projections of nature movies in Nature Cinema. We also invite to participate in the forthcoming events promoting biodiversity:

  • May, 20th – International Biodiversity Day Conference „Biodiversity – our life”
  • June, 27th – Butterfly Day
  • July, 4th – Meadow Festival
  • August, 8th – Bee Day
  • September, 5th – NIEZAPOMINAJKA Science Picnic
  • October, 3rd – Weed Day
  • May 7th, 2016 – „Biodiversity – human heritage” – conference

As part of the project, three educational paths will arranged: „Stones speak”, „Protected and invasive plants”, „Water – source of life”. Nature Observatory will be built, where children and teenagers will have an opportunity to do nature-related research and experiments all year long. Also, a publication “Biodiversity – our life” will be issued.

All project activities are free of charge.

“NATURE LABORATORY” project is subsidized by EEA funds as part of the „Biodiversity and Ecosystems Protection” program.
By EOG and Norwegian funds, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway contribute to the reduction of social and economic inequalities and to the reinforcement of mutual relations with beneficiary countries in Europe. Three countries closely cooperate with EU on the basis of European Economic Area agreement (EEA agreement).
In years 2009–2014 the value of EEA and Norwegian funds amounted to 1,79 billion €. Norway provides about 97% of the
combined finances. Those funds are available for ngos, research institutions and high schools, public and private sector in 12 newly-accepted member countries of EU and Greece, Portugal and Spain. Wide cooperation with entities from donor countries is taking place, the undertakings may be implemented till 2016. Most significant support areas include: environment protection and climate change, research and scholarships, civic society, health protection and child support, equality of sexes, justice and cultural heritage.
